VP Wayne Allyn Root; Dan Belforti Wins Club Championship at The International

Dan Belforti Wins B Flight Trophy Cup at The International Club Championship.jpg Tune in this Friday at noon (click on archived file here) to hear Wayne Allyn Root, the 2008 Libertarian Nominee for Vice President.  Wayne will be on your ballot along with Presidential nominee Bob Barr this coming November so that you won’t have to hold your nose to choose the lesser of two evils between the lesser candidates.

This past weekend, inspired in part by the meeting of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, I won my club championship (B Flight) with a +1 net over par at the two day annual tourney at The International in Bolton, where the best team in the history of sports (The New England Patriots) played their annual fundraiser last month.  Dan again predicts, on http://football.belforti.org that the Pats will win more regular season games than the wise guys in Vegas calculated, but we’ll hear what Wayne Allyn Root (The King of Vegas) thinks.

Now for something completely different:  My favorite band, Rush, showed up for the 1st time in 33 years on American television on my favorite television show, The Colbert Report.  Coincidence?  I think not. http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/videos.jhtml?videoId=176340

Patriotic Senator Mike Gravel on the 4th of July Show

Mike Gravel & Dan in studio.JPG Please tune in at high noon on 106.1 FM or streaming audio at Portsmouth Community Radio for a conversation with former U.S.Senator and 2008 Democratic and Libertarian Presidential candidate Mike Gravel.  Mike and Dan will discuss his campaign trail and whatever else comes to mind.  Here is the link for the closing segment of this archived show.

Former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel on:   Carla Howell’s statewide citizen initiative to end the Massachusetts state income tax (see http://smallgovernmentact.org)  and the initiative to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana (see http://www.mpp.org)  : “Almost enough incentive for me to return to my hometown of Springfield, Mass to become a citizen to vote for it!”

About Barrack Obama waffling on bringing out the troops from Iraq:   According to Gravel, Obama said recently that a good commander in chief has to follow the advice of his military.  To this Gravel says “A good commander in chief is supposed to lead the country and not genuflect before the power of the military industrial complex.”

About Community Radio: “It’s a better form of communication than main line media.”

About LeftRightAndCorrect.com:   “My favorite part about the show is the attitude that you have with respect to freedom and liberty.  That is what makes you (Dan) a libertarian but more importantly a free thinker in the tradition of Tom Paine, one of my great, great heroes.”

Owner Dan Weadock Discusses Patriots Event at The International

QB Tom Brady & Owner Dan Weadock at The International.JPG Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft and the rest of the greatest team in the history of sports descended upon The International in Bolton last Monday for their annual charity fundraiser.  Owner Dan Weadock will share his experience with us today on LeftRightAndCorrect.com with Dan Belforti & Friends. Click here for archived interview.

Paul Mastroianni with Patriots Cheerleaders at The International.JPG As The International Golf Club members and volunteers for quality control, Paul Mastroianni and I also had the opportunity to meet with several players and coaches.

What did Tom Brady have to say when I informed him that my football blog , http://football.belforti.org , comes up first on a google search of “2007 NFL MVP Tom Brady”?  Why did he not participate at the Long Drive contest this year even though he won it last year with 307 yards (same distance I won with last August at our 3 day International member guest tourney)?

How did Coach Belichick respond to my contention that the 2007 New England Patriots were even better than the 3 Super Bowl winning teams?  Listen here for a discussion of Super Bowl 42 and football in general with former New England Patriot Head Coach Raymond Berry.

Which Patriots team did John Hannah believe had the best chance to ”Berry the 1985 Bears”?

These questions and more will be answered on another special NFL football edition of LeftRightAndCorrect.com !
